We are creating a protocol that will allow any user to protect the underlying value of their crypto asset against all kinds of volatility levels. We call it “God-Mode for Crypto”! The scope of the protocol will reach all corners of the user landscape, from retail to degens to institutions. Already, the simulations are proving radically cheaper and more efficient than traditional options instruments.

We are building a team of the elite, the best of the best. A team that not only believes in the potential for DeFi to change the face of finance, but has the talent and skills that lead to growth and change. We still have fun however and a love for 80s pop culture is encouraged… but not needed!

Role Overview

‍Bumper are looking for a current, or aspiring, DeFi obsessive Head of Community to take charge of our community and be the face of Bumper amongst our fans and followers. You’ll champion Bumper in our own channels and the broader crypto world as we gear up to launch our fully-funded and radically innovative DeFi service.

As we are small (but looking to scale quickly) you will have the opportunity to shape the role into your own and recommend / lead improvements in other areas of the business if you wish.

Responsibilities

• Active engagement and strategically managed growth of Discord, Telegram, Twitter, Reddit and other relevant channels
• You will have the skills and knowledge to build a passionate and supportive community becoming the bridge between the community and the team.
• You will have daily interaction with the community, driving conversations, building excitement and injecting the Bumper vibe.
• You will establish our position within other communities as we expand into additional chains
• Ensuring our community is supported at in-person and virtual events
• Organisation of AMA’s with our community and other communities aligned with our core audience and protocol
• Monitor the broader blockchain / Defi community to spot trends and leverage for content and thought leadership.
• Keeping your finger on the pulse of what other communities are doing well
• You will innovate within the channels to bring promotions, competitions, quizzes, etc, to our community.
• Generate regular updates and reports which show an analytical approach to growth and engagement
• Coordination of influencers and ambassadors including timely dissemination of information for these partners to provide value to Bumper
• Establishing and maintaining guidelines for effective community management, including moderation and crisis management
• Oversee the daily interactions and manage our Community Moderators

About you: 

• A passion for DeFi that will be felt across our community
• 3+ years experience in community management, social media, content or support roles
• The drive to establish yourself as a top community manager
• The ability to think strategically about community growth
• Knowledge of the ins and outs of Discord, Telegram, Reddit, Twitter and other community channels
• Experience participating in, managing and building online communities, ideally within crypto
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• A desire to attack problems head on and solve them creatively
• Outstanding attention to detail with great organisational and prioritisation skills
• An clear focus on where you’re heading as a self-starter

You bring with you and draw upon your past experiences building and managing communities along with experience working with remote or globally dispersed teams. You are available during UK working hours - at least a few hours partial crossover or regular flexibility to collaborate in UK time and will need to be able to coordinate with partners and team in other time zones.

Key relationships / stakeholders

You will report in to the Chief Marketing Officer. The Co-founders will be your key stakeholders along with external partners who currently provide services / advice to Bumper. You will be in regular contact with other team members such as Content Managers and Support Team to coordinate community interactions.
